MBF won Finnish championship medals

MBF achieved the greatest success in the club's history when the Finnish Championship competitions were held in Tampere, and finished on the podium in all five categories.

Marina Donner was the pre-season favorite in the women's singles and withstood the pressure well to win her sixth consecutive Finnish Championship gold medal. Marina beat Alexandra Titievskaja 4-2 in the final.

– The situation is getting more difficult every year as the younger players develop, while I am getting older and partly also struggling with injuries.

But in tight spots, Marina Donner has the ability to be sharp and that's when she comes out on top. Donner's second gold came in the women's doubles with Maria Girlea.

Finland's best junior player – Lassi Lehtola – has finally shown that he is also among the absolute top players among senior players. Lehtola returned home to Eslöv with medals in singles, doubles and mixed doubles.

In doubles, Lehtola lost in the semifinals to Alex Naum, who won his third consecutive gold medal.

. In both doubles and mixed doubles, Lehtola played for gold, but had to settle for silver. Lehtola lost to Naummi/Aleksi Räsänen with Juho Kahlos, and in mixed doubles, Matias Ojala and Titievskaja were too difficult for Lehtola and Girlea.

In mixed doubles, our club coordinator Ildiko Kadar won the bronze medal together with Mika Räsänen.

Madis Moos won three medals at the Estonian Championships. Moos lost the singles final to Pert Marten Lehtlaan, won the doubles with Pert, and took bronze in the mixed doubles.

The coming weekends will also be exciting for the club's top players, as the final rounds of the Finnish Championship regular season will be decided in Koski. The playoff games for the top four teams will be decided in Ruskeasuo on April 25th.
